FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER

Evan is a business leader, philanthropist, investor, author and adjunct professor. He was the President of Dormont Manufacturing Company, the inventor and world's largest manufacturer of flexible stainless steel gas appliance connectors. After a successful exit, Evan served as the Chief Financial Officer at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He currently serves as the Chairman of The Segal Family Foundation, Co-Founder of The 412 Venture Fund, Founder of Kiva Pittsburgh and Venture For America Pittsburgh. Evan graduated from the CMU Tepper School of Business with a B.S. and an MBA and lives with his wife in Tiburon, CA.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

As Managing Director of Segal Ventures, Jory leads all finance and operations for the firm and supports the portfolio on financial strategy, modeling, and fundraising. Previously, Jory served as a Vice President of MBS and UST Trading at Nomura for 8+ years where he regularly interfaced with a variety of clients worldwide, including money managers, pensions, insurance funds, hedge funds, and central banks. Jory attended the University of Virginia, where he earned a B.S. in Commerce (Finance & Management). He is an active angel investor, advisor, and consultant for several startups. Jory lives in Brooklyn, NY.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

As Managing Director of Segal Ventures, Ariel advises fund managers and founders on strategies to fuel growth, providing valuable resources and cultivating community. With 15+ years of experience as an operator at tech startups, Ariel most recently led marketing at Foursquare, where she developed deep expertise across content, events, customer insights, social media, email, paid advertising and more. Ariel holds a B.A. in Marketing & Psychology from Georgetown University, an MBA from NYU Stern, and lives with her husband and children in Tiburon, CA.
